Dubai Insurance Launches Crypto Wallet for Premiums and Claims

Published at 2026-01-28 17:15:20

Dubai Insurance has rolled out a crypto wallet built with Zodia Custody to accept premiums and disburse claims in digital assets. The platform is designed to provide institutional-grade custody, transparent ledger records of transactions, and integration with the company’s existing billing and claims systems. The insurer says the service will give policyholders the option to transact in supported cryptocurrencies alongside conventional payments.

The launch is notable as the first of its kind among UAE insurers and could accelerate crypto-native payment flows in the Gulf insurance market. Partnering with an established custody provider signals a focus on security and compliance as UAE regulators refine rules for digital assets. Market observers will be watching which assets and payment rails are supported, adoption by customers, and whether other regional insurers adopt similar capabilities.
