Pudgy Penguins has released Pudgy World, a free, browser-based crypto game featuring 12 explorable towns, quests, and mini-games. The launch pushed the PENGU token up and casts it as a high-beta NFT gaming play, while testing whether the brand's cultural popularity can sustain on-chain engagement.

PEI Licensing, owner of the Original Penguin apparel brand, has sued the NFT project Pudgy Penguins in U.S. federal court, alleging the project's penguin-themed apparel, trademarks and filings infringe and dilute PEI's long-established PENGUIN marks and could confuse consumers.
