Nexo to Acquire Argentina's Buenbit, Expanding Latin America Footprint

Published at 2025-12-11 14:15:20

Nexo announced plans to acquire Argentina’s Buenbit, a move that immediately opens Nexo to Buenbit’s local user base and fiat on-ramps. Under the deal, Nexo will be able to roll out its core products — crypto-backed loans, high-yield savings offerings and trading tools — directly to Argentine customers, accelerating the company’s commercial push in a market with high crypto adoption.

The acquisition strengthens NEXO’s footprint across Latin America and could boost deposits, lending volumes and product distribution for both retail and institutional clients. For Argentine users it promises more product choice and deeper liquidity, while intensifying competition among regional crypto firms. Financial terms, regulatory approvals and integration timelines have not been disclosed.
