Bitwise Buys Chorus One to Boost Institutional Staking on 30+ PoS Networks

Published at 2026-02-24 21:01:14

Bitwise announced the acquisition of Chorus One and the integration of its operations into Bitwise Onchain Solutions. Chorus One arrives with roughly $2.2 billion in staked assets and a team of about 50 blockchain specialists, immediately scaling Bitwise’s capacity to operate and secure validator nodes across 30+ proof-of-stake networks.

For institutional investors, the deal aims to broaden access to diversified staking exposure, operational expertise, and on-chain governance capabilities under a single enterprise-focused provider. The move strengthens Bitwise’s position in the growing institutional staking market and could pressure competitors to offer deeper custody-plus-staking services as demand for regulated, scalable staking solutions continues to rise.
