Ripple Mints $20M RLUSD to Boost On-Chain Liquidity

Published at 2026-02-20 10:30:10

Ripple has increased the circulating supply of its dollar‑pegged stablecoin RLUSD by 20 million tokens, according to the Ripple Stablecoin Tracker. The minting expands available on‑chain liquidity for RLUSD and could ease token flows for payments and trading where RLUSD is used alongside XRP and other assets.

The expansion is a measured response to demand for regulated, dollar‑pegged settlement options as competition among stablecoin issuers heats up. While the additional supply is modest relative to larger market incumbents, it signals Ripple’s intent to support funding and liquidity needs in its ecosystem and on platforms that adopt RLUSD for settlement and liquidity provisioning.
