Ant Financial-backed R25 Launches Yield-Bearing RWA Stablecoin on Polygon

R25 announced the launch of a yield-bearing stablecoin protocol on Polygon on Nov. 14, 2025. Backed by Ant Financial, the platform says the new stablecoin will be collateralized by tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and designed with compliance and custody controls to appeal to institutional treasuries and asset managers. The protocol targets onchain yield generation for dollar-denominated exposure while leveraging Polygon's low fees and throughput.

The move matters because it signals accelerating institutional interest in compliant, asset-backed stablecoins that can produce yield without traditional banking rails. For Polygon, added RWA activity could boost demand for MATIC as more capital routes into onchain fixed-income strategies. Market watchers should still weigh regulatory scrutiny and counterparty or custody risks; audits, transparent reserve reporting, and regulatory clarity will be key to adoption and sustained growth.
