Bhutan has introduced TER, a sovereign, fully gold‑backed token launched on Solana through Gelephu Mindfulness City, designed to provide secure, transparent digital access to physical gold. The move supports Bhutan’s broader blockchain push, including bitcoin reserves, hydro‑powered BTC mining, tokenized assets, CBDC pilots and an Ethereum‑based digital ID.
