Aster Chain Mainnet Launches with ZK Privacy and Gasless Trading

Published at 2026-03-17 18:46:11

Aster Chain launched its mainnet on March 17, 2026, rolling out zero-knowledge encryption that the team says locks down every trade and keeps position data private. The network also supports gas-free transactions and advertises up to 100,000 transactions per second, positioning itself for high-frequency and low-cost execution. The native token ticker is ASTER.

The combination of strong privacy and near-zero transaction friction matters because it addresses front-running and on-chain surveillance concerns while lowering costs for traders and apps. If adoption follows, Aster could appeal to both retail users and institutional desks seeking confidential order flow; however, real-world throughput, liquidity provisioning, and smart-contract security will determine whether the mainnet lives up to its performance claims.
