Tether Backs Axiym to Integrate USDT Into Regulated Global Payments

Published at 2026-03-05 15:01:28

Tether has announced support for Axiym as the firms work to integrate USDT into regulated global payments. Axiym’s treasury layer already operates across 140 countries and enables compliant movement of USD₮ into 70 different fiat currencies, allowing businesses and institutions to settle or convert USDT while interfacing with local banking networks.

The partnership could widen real‑world use cases for USDT by pairing stablecoin liquidity with existing compliance and fiat rails, potentially speeding cross‑border settlement and reducing FX friction for corporate payments. Market observers will be watching how Axiym navigates AML/KYC requirements and local licensing as it scales; for users, the development highlights ongoing efforts to make crypto rails usable within regulated financial infrastructure.
