Ripple completes $1B acquisition of treasury leader GTreasury

Published at 2025-12-05 10:15:09

Ripple officially completed its $1 billion acquisition of GTreasury, a leading treasury management platform, in one of the company’s largest strategic moves to date. The San Francisco-based firm said the purchase further broadens its product footprint beyond payments and into core corporate finance functions, positioning Ripple to work directly with treasury teams at multinational firms.

The deal matters because it links Ripple’s settlement rails and liquidity tools with established treasury workflows, potentially creating new on-ramps for institutional use of digital assets and tokenized liquidity, including XRP-based solutions. Market participants and regulators will watch how Ripple integrates GTreasury’s technology and client base, and whether the combined offering accelerates enterprise adoption of blockchain-enabled treasury automation and cross-border settlement.
