Revolut Adds Solana Support, Unlocking Access for 65M Users
Revolut has rolled out full support for the Solana network across its platform, enabling SOL transfers and withdrawals for its roughly 65 million customers. Until now Revolut users could trade SOL in-app but could not move tokens off the platform; the new feature lets customers send SOL to external wallets and withdraw on-chain funds. The company confirmed the launch today, extending custodial services to cover native Solana transfers.
The change broadens access to Solana's ecosystem from payments and NFTs to DeFi for a large retail base, and may increase on-chain activity and liquidity for SOL as more tokens leave custodial accounts. For Revolut the update tightens competition with exchanges and crypto-first wallets by offering a simple on-ramp to native Solana use, though users should exercise standard address and security checks when withdrawing to non-custodial wallets.
