CMC20: CoinMarketCap Launches Tradable Index Token on BNB Chain

Published at 2025-11-18 11:46:22

CoinMarketCap has introduced CMC20, a DeFi-native crypto index token deployed on BNB Chain. The token is designed to provide a single, tradable exposure to a broader basket of market assets, enabling users to access diversified crypto positions on-chain without managing multiple holdings.

Launching on BNB Chain means CMC20 benefits from lower fees and faster settlements, which could make index exposure more accessible to retail and DeFi traders. Its tradability and composability with wallets and decentralized exchanges may boost on-chain liquidity and present BNB holders with a simpler route to diversified market exposure, marking another step in the mainstreaming of index instruments within DeFi.
