Coinbase and Standard Chartered Launch Coinbase Business in Singapore to Speed USDC Payments

Published at 2025-11-13 02:45:26

Coinbase is launching its Coinbase Business platform in Singapore via a partnership with Standard Chartered, targeting startups and small-to-medium enterprises. The offering will let businesses execute quick USDC payments, settle transactions across borders and access a suite of crypto finance tools, while Standard Chartered supplies banking rails, settlement corridors and compliance support to connect on-chain activity with traditional fiat networks.

The move bolsters Coinbase's push into APAC and could accelerate stablecoin adoption for merchant and institutional use by reducing settlement friction and working capital needs. Use cases include supplier payments, payroll and faster cross-border commerce. Pairing a major global bank with a crypto infrastructure provider also offers clients clearer custody and compliance pathways in Singapore’s regulated environment, making it easier for companies to experiment with programmable money as they scale.
