MoonPay and Deel enable stablecoin payroll for 40,000 UK and EU businesses

Published at 2026-02-11 00:45:14

MoonPay and Deel announced a partnership to give roughly 40,000 businesses in the UK and EU the option to pay employees in stablecoins. The integration plugs MoonPay’s on‑ramps into Deel’s payroll infrastructure, enabling firms to issue USD‑pegged and other fiat‑linked tokens as an alternative payout method for contractors and staff who prefer crypto exposure.

The move could lower friction for cross‑border payments and speed settlement for remote teams, potentially accelerating crypto payroll adoption in regulated markets. That said, employers and employees will need clear guidance on tax treatment, reporting and local compliance as regulators in Europe and the UK scrutinize stablecoin use. For MoonPay and Deel, the deal expands service reach and tests demand for crypto-native compensation in mainstream HR workflows.
