Metaplanet Buys 4,279 BTC, Boosts Holdings to 35,102 Bitcoin

Published at 2025-12-30 09:15:08

Metaplanet announced a fresh accumulation of 4,279 BTC, bringing its total holdings to 35,102 bitcoin as of Dec. 30, 2025. The buy increases the company’s stash by about 14%, underlining a continued treasury-building strategy that tightens available supply and signals sustained institutional demand for BTC.

The move follows a fiscal 2024 in which Metaplanet’s bitcoin-based income operations produced roughly $55 million in revenue, giving the firm more ammo to fund purchases or support operations. That revenue backdrop suggests the buy was funded at least in part by profitable crypto activities, reinforcing the company’s business model and potentially encouraging similar strategies by peers. For markets, the addition is notable because concentrated accumulation from public firms can amplify price sensitivity to new inflows or sales.
