BitMEX Adds Mercuryo Fiat On-Ramp for BTC, ETH and SOL

Published at 2025-12-10 07:45:12

BitMEX announced a new integration with payments firm Mercuryo on Dec. 10, 2025, enabling users in eligible jurisdictions to purchase cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH and SOL directly using more than 30 different fiat currencies. The move adds a native crypto-to-fiat entry point on the derivatives-focused exchange, aiming to simplify onboarding for users who previously relied on third-party providers or separate wallets to fund positions.

The integration could broaden retail access to BitMEX’s products by reducing friction at the first step — buying crypto — though availability will depend on local licensing and compliance rules. For traders and the wider market, easier fiat rails may increase participation and liquidity, while keeping regulatory constraints and jurisdictional limits important considerations for users considering the new on-ramp.
