BlackRock Unveils iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF

BlackRock announced on Dec. 9, 2025 the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust, a new ETF designed to provide exposure to Ethereum combined with staking yield while managing custody and validator duties on behalf of investors. The product aims to simplify access to staked ETH for institutions and retail channels that prefer not to run their own validators or self-custody, packaging rewards and execution into a familiar ETF wrapper.

The launch marks a notable institutional turn toward yield-generating crypto products and could boost demand for ETH if inflows materialize. At the same time, regulatory uncertainty around staking, custody rules, and ETF operations remains a key variable — market participants will be watching fee structures, issuer reporting, and any policy developments that could shape adoption and asset flows going forward.
