Dash, a privacy-focused cryptocurrency, jumped sharply — up roughly 30–60% in a short period — triggering heavy short liquidations and renewed trader interest, as privacy coins and related altcoins outperform amid a broader crypto upswing.

The DFSA has tightened DIFC crypto rules, banning privacy-focused tokens, clarifying stablecoin classifications, and putting token approval and compliance duties on licensed DIFC firms.
