Binance Adds Prediction Markets to Self-Custody Wallet

Published at 2026-03-31 10:15:09

Binance announced Tuesday it is launching a prediction market feature directly inside its self-custody crypto wallet, allowing users to bet on the outcomes of real-world events — spanning sports, politics and crypto developments — without leaving the wallet interface. The addition brings a new trading-like function to a non-custodial product, aiming to deepen engagement by offering more ways to interact with markets from the same app.

The move matters because it expands utility for self-custody wallets and could increase on-wallet activity and retention, while keeping private keys in users' hands. At the same time, prediction markets can attract regulatory scrutiny and raise responsible-gaming questions across jurisdictions. For Binance, the feature is another step in extending wallet capabilities and keeping users inside its ecosystem as crypto products diversify.
