Trust Wallet Launches Real-Time Scam Address Screening on 32 EVM Chains

Published at 2026-03-10 14:30:40

Trust Wallet has introduced real-time scam address screening and address-poisoning protection across 32 EVM-compatible chains. The feature performs on-device screening of addresses users interact with in the wallet and flags known malicious or substituted addresses, a move made as wallet security concerns and on-chain phishing attacks continue to rise.

Address-poisoning — where attackers replace a legitimate address with a fraudulent one — remains a frequent vector for crypto theft. Extending screening across multiple EVM chains targets users who move funds between DeFi, NFTs and cross-chain services and should lower the risk of accidental transfers to scam destinations. Users should still follow basic safety practices, but the update represents a meaningful step toward building native defenses into consumer wallets.
