Ripple Mints 20M RLUSD on Ethereum to Boost Stablecoin Liquidity

In the past few hours Ripple issued 20 million RLUSD on the Ethereum blockchain, increasing the supply of its Ripple USD stablecoin (RLUSD). The minting raises the amount of ERC-20 dollar liquidity available on Ethereum and comes as demand for on-chain stablecoins and payment rails remains high.

The additional RLUSD should ease liquidity for trading, on-ramps and decentralized finance integrations that use the token. Market participants will watch whether the fresh supply shifts stablecoin flows on Ethereum and affects short-term trading volumes; the move also underscores Ripple’s continued push to expand tokenized dollar rails alongside its XRP-based corridor efforts.
