Ripple Mints 20M RLUSD on Ethereum to Boost Stablecoin Liquidity

Published at 2026-02-27 16:00:39

Ripple has minted 20 million RLUSD on the Ethereum blockchain, expanding the supply of its Ripple USD stablecoin as of Feb. 27, 2026. The issuance increases RLUSD availability on Ethereum and should ease liquidity for ETH-based trading pairs, lending markets and decentralized finance integrations, while creating more on‑ramp capacity for wallets and exchanges.

Higher RLUSD supply could help the token compete with established dollar-pegged assets by deepening order books and reducing slippage, but actual market effects will depend on how quickly custodians, DeFi protocols and trading venues absorb the new tokens. The move underscores Ripple’s continued push to grow stablecoin utility across Ethereum rails alongside its XRP ecosystem; market participants will be watching flows, peg stability and redemption activity in the coming days.
