VeChain Partners with AMRC and Rekord to Deploy Digital Product Passports Ahead of EU Deadline
VeChain announced a partnership with the UK’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) and Rekord to deploy a production-scale Digital Product Passport (DPP) infrastructure. The system is designed to support supply-chain provenance, product lifecycle data, and real-world attestation at scale — capabilities the partners say are needed as the EU phases in mandatory DPP requirements from 2027.
The collaboration positions VeChain and its VET ecosystem as an early infrastructure provider for manufacturers and brands preparing for regulatory compliance. For industry, a ready-to-deploy DPP can reduce friction and audit costs; for VeChain, the project could accelerate enterprise adoption of blockchain-enabled traceability without implying investment advice. The announcement underscores growing alignment between blockchain firms and regulators as jurisdictions move to enforce product transparency standards.
