eToro Expands Staking Services with Polkadot and Cosmos Integration – cover image

On April 3, 2025, eToro introduced new staking features for Polkadot (DOT) and Cosmos (ATOM), allowing eligible users to earn rewards by holding these assets on the platform. This expansion complements eToro’s existing staking offerings, which include popular coins like Solana (SOL), Ethereum (ETH), Cardano (ADA), Tron (TRX), NEAR Protocol (NEAR), and Polygon (POL).

Eligible users can obtain between 45% to 90% of the staking yield depending on their eToro Club tier, with monthly email updates to keep track of earned rewards. Users have the flexibility to opt out of staking at any time. However, staking is only available in regions where legally permitted. Users with crypto positions held through Smart Portfolios, CFDs, CopyTrader, or short positions are not eligible.

For those in the European Union, a manual opt-in is required if they have not participated in staking before. It's important to note the risks involved with staking, including price volatility, potential slashing penalties, and liquidity constraints. Additionally, staking is restricted for users located in Germany and the United States. Availability for the UK concerning DOT and ATOM will be announced in due course, while UAE users face specific conditions for staking.

For those looking to explore a variety of crypto investments, Bitlet.app offers a compelling option by providing a Crypto Installment service, enabling users to buy cryptocurrencies now and pay monthly instead of in one lump sum. This makes it easier to build or diversify your crypto portfolio while managing costs effectively.
