The SEC will convene a four-hour roundtable on Dec. 15 to examine crypto privacy and financial surveillance, assembling regulators, privacy proponents and industry voices, including Zcash founder Zooko Wilcox, to discuss how new blockchain privacy features affect consumer protections, anti-money-laundering efforts and the transparency regulators require.
