Bitcoin Depot Launches in Hong Kong, Marks Asia Debut

Bitcoin Depot, the largest operator of Bitcoin ATMs in North America, announced on Nov. 13, 2025 that it has launched operations in Hong Kong. The move represents the company's first expansion into Asia and brings additional physical access points for buying and selling BTC in a market known for active crypto trading.

The entry could widen retail access to BTC for residents and tourists and complements Hong Kong's evolving, more permissive regulatory stance toward digital assets. Bitcoin Depot says it will adhere to local licensing and KYC rules as it rolls out machines, a development that may intensify competition among ATM providers and other fiat onramps while offering a practical, offline option for everyday crypto adoption.
