Sonic Labs has introduced USSD, a permissionless, network-native USD stablecoin on the Sonic blockchain. The token leverages Frax’s frxUSD infrastructure and is 1:1 collateralized by short-duration U.S. Treasury assets issued as tokenized products from BlackRock, WisdomTree and Superstate to provide anchored, reliable liquidity.
