Societe Generale-FORGE Launches EURCV Stablecoin on Stellar

Published at 2026-03-10 18:00:57

Societe Generale‑FORGE has issued its euro‑pegged stablecoin EURCV on the Stellar blockchain, marking a new step in its multichain strategy to deploy MiCA‑compliant digital assets across multiple networks. The move places EURCV alongside other rails already supported by the bank’s digital asset division and links euro liquidity directly to the low‑fee, payments‑oriented Stellar ecosystem (XLM), enabling faster cross‑border flows and on‑chain settlement for institutional users. The expansion matters because it pairs strong regulatory credentials with a pragmatic payments network, potentially lowering friction for fiat‑crypto interoperability and institutional treasury uses. By adding Stellar to its roster, FORGE aims to offer regulated stablecoin rails that meet European compliance while supporting broader interoperability and use cases such as tokenized payments, custody workflows, and settlement services.
